At sixty, I finally answered the call I had resisted, witnessing my beloved characters take on lives of their own—breathing, wrestling with destiny, and stepping into the purpose waiting for them.
I live with my husband and our adopted companions—a stray dog and a stray cat—who remind me that, sometimes, the best families are the ones we find along the way.
